not suitable for gerbils!
This cage is quite obviously not suited to gerbils, in fact I would not wish to house ANY rodents in one. Rodents chew, and when they are done, they chew some more. When they ingest plastics, they slowly die. In addition, gerbils love to dig, and this cage has nothing like the depth required to allow for enough bedding to let then dig and make nests.
