guinea pig cage review
Good size of cage, though higher than necessary for guinea pigs, probabaly better suited to rabbits. Good openings on both levels for cleaning and taking animals out.Smooth bottoms on inside of trays make cleaning easy.Pleased with overall structure of cage, disappointed with access for upper level, not very encouraging for guinea pigs as the ramp is long and steep and not very good for grip and it finishes with very little space for them to get off at. If animals are quite timid they won't use it, this is the only problem with the cage, otherwise very good value for money
Not impressed with the quality
Not impressed with the quality of this at all. Very cheap shoddy materials. It states black bars, but they are cheap metal, very easily bent, and were bent so out of shape when it came that it doesn't fit together at all easily.
No instructions so it's a good job I have a fairly logical mind but even so, the hooks that hold it together quite often had to be enlarged or the wires wouldn't fit in.
The hooks that hold the cage onto the base are also cheap metal.
The ramp is wooden which means it will just get eaten pretty soon, that's what wood is for with guinea pigs and rabbits. My piggies think it's a feast just for them.
1 star only, very disappointed.
missing parts
was impressed with the delivery time but there were no instrutions and the 2 clips on the cage to hold the bottom tray 1 was all bent and the other was missing lucky i'm good and fixing things.
