Options Aurora 600 Chinchilla And Rat Cage

Great for Chinchillas!
The cage arrived yesterday, and I was able to assemble it myself, despite the size. My three chinchillas love it! It could easily accommodate 4. The doors are not very clear in the picture, but are of two different sizes making it easy to get them out and clean. The only downside is, certain parts were bent when I got them out of the box making it difficult to assemble. But with some crafty hammering skills, I was able to bend the parts back fairly easily. I would recommend this to any chinparent!
Pretty poor packaging
This product arrived and we signed for it. When we opened it, a few hours later, it became clear that it had received a significant blow during storage/transit and a number of the metal grids and their frames had received damage. We noted that due to the shape of the parts and the way they were packaged, this could be a problem for subsequent. the large sections (front and back) were on the outside and the middle and side supported part of the large grids but it left a void of unsupported grid. We're using these for Degus and they've eaten the wooden bases. I am going to have to replace the bases with other wooden ones and next time, will screw aluminium angles to the...
Big Cage - Great Value
I have been looking for a large cage for my Degu's (4 of them) and this seemed one of the best value cages i could find.

A few reviews said it was not great quality but there was not much info around about this cage.

The cage arrived - it's a big and heavy box! The box was a little tatty, but took some photos just in case!

Upon opening you realise what a large cage this is, it's a little fiddly to put together, unless you have very high celiling you need to lie the cage down to assemble, but the instruction albeit short were very clear. You definately need 2 people to assemble, do not try on your own! It took about 30 minutes to assemble and about 3 hours deciding where to put all the accessories i bought!

Once complete the cage feels a little wobbly, but as soon as you attach the roof and put the shelves in place it's solid. I would not recommend using this cage without at least 2 of the shelves - no reason not to use all 4.
