Rotastak Creepy Castle New Design Hamster Mouse Cage

Good :)
Hi, i orderd this cage on the 17th of january 2010 and recieved it on the 19th of jan. I came home from school and i was sooooo exited to get it built and my lovely hamster into it. My dad was at work and i was at home with my mum so we tryed to start putting it together. TRYED!!!!!. It took us from 4.30-9.20pm to try and put it toghether! Anyway, my hamster had to wait till the next day to get into it because it took sooooooooooooo long to set up! It was really hard to put the non nawing things on the ends of the tubes and at first we just tryed to force them on. DONT DO THAT. When i realised it wasnt going on i took my hands away and found that my hands where throbbing and really red. After, my mum came up with a really good idea. Rub vacileen on it. its easy! My hamster loves the cage and is still exploring, its giant! Bye this product its great, just remember to bye vaceleen while your at it! :)xxxxx
Not for dwarf hamsters, although it can be adapted
I purchased this cage because I thought it would provide lots of room for our two dwarf hamsters. It took us a while to make it up and it looked good fun for the hamsters but unfourtunatly they were unable to climb up the tubes! The tubes have no ridges for the hamsters to grip (unlike other hamster tubes you can get) and being verticle it provided a problem for them.

We went and bought the Rotastak spagetti junction so were able to make a whole different set up for them. Although it is not like we expected, we were still able to change it, although it did cost us extra because of having to purchase extra parts. Fixing it all together with the new parts was rather like a big jigsaw, but we managed it in the end! Although the verticle tubes were not suitable for the dwarf hamsters, I find the Rotastak cages good because of it being plastic rather than metal bars, just be warned that you may have to rearrange and buy extras if it's for dwarf hamsters.

Although it...
Really Good Value & Fun--for you and for hamster!
Made in England, which surprised me, I happily endorse this hamster hermitage for the one who wants extra space for his or her hamster. It wasn't easy to put together--it took me and my friend about 90 minutes to finalise construction of it. But once together, the hamster seemed to be exploring for hours. Another reviewer said to use vaseline to help fit the pieces together which seems like a good idea.

It has the main compartment (basement) along with the large circular compartment which has a barred opening around the top edge (big enough for hamster nose to get a whiff of air). There's also room to put other toys.

There are four towers that rise above the cage, as well as the back compartment which doubles as a carrying case for the hamster. Here's where the water is stored.

The wheel makes a bit of noise, but not enough to keep one awake at night.

As far as cleaning, the only parts that need to be cleaned are the main bodies of the...
