Delivery - very fast.
Product - excellent.
It came flat packed in a very strong box. Very easy to put together and good quality materials, very sturdy. Unpacked, put together, bedded, fed and watered in about 15 minutes. Extremely pleased with this product, the size is good, it's strong and it looks good, Oh and my 3 babies love it, they were in there exploring in a matter of minutes. One thing though, if you use shavings then this is not for you, they would just fall through the holes in the tray at the bottom, I think that awful paper bedding would too. Me, I use a mixture of my shredded newspapers and straw which makes this cage even better since all the small pieces of straw fall through so even less dust than you get in 'dust free straw'!!!
Seriously guys, I love this cage. Money well spent!!
Fantastic Cage!
I bought this cage a my local petshop after aquiring two more female rats to join my existing two. The cage was already assembles so I am not sure how easy it would have been if it had come flat packed. There is plently of room inside for four very active rats and their toys, I think this cage could comfortably house two more! It has huge doors, making it easy to catch the rats, and also means the cage can be cleaned without taking it to pieces. The floor is plastic, but has holes in it to allow urine, and faeces to drop through. The floor is still comfortable for them to walk on, as it is perforated plastic rather than horrible wire mesh. A pull out tray under the floor catches all the dirty stuff, so the cage is probably the easiest to clean I have ever owned (and I have owned a lot of cages!)
There are only two, quite minor issues with the cage. For one, the water bottle that came with the cage started leaking after a few days and had to be replaced. Also, the spacing beween...
A really good buy
I bought this cage for my two rats and it's brilliant (though only for larger rats due to the wide bar spacing). Very easy to assemble and once it's up you don't really need to take it apart. The doors at the front are a really good size so any toys will easily fit through, even the 12" size exercise wheel and large igloo houses. Also, again because the doors are big you can easily clean the shelves and wipe down the plastic flooring (no mesh!!) without taking it apart, and the pull out draw at the bottom also makes cleaning really simple!
The only down side to this cage is how difficult it is to get the top roof section off once it is clipped in, but after the first time I did it I decided to just half clip it in and it is still very secure and much easier to remove.
All in all a very good buy!!
