Savic Bristol Hamster Cage

great cage
we threw our rotastak in the bin and got this fab cage. Is a really good size, looks great in my daughter's bedroom, and nibbles seems really happy too!
My syrian loves it!
Bought this cage after looking round for ages for one for my new syrian. Wanted a cage that was a decent size but not overly priced...and looked good! This one was the one I settled on. It is quite large compared to a lot of cages that are sold claiming to be big enough for hamsters (which clearly aren't, such as the rotastak ones).

It's easy to put together, the second level sits on the base, then add the food bowl, water-bottle, hut, ramp and the wheel, then pop the wire top on. I changed the wheel and bought a flying saucer wheel as the one provided is too small for syrians once they are older than a few weeks. The clips that hold the top on are a little stiff but I think that just gives more security that they aren't about to unclip accidentally. I also bought some wooden toys that hang from the top, and put tubes on the base so he can run around in them aswell.

It's easy to clean, as it's all plastic it can be washed and then dryed off with no hassle...
Two storey home
Bought this for our school hamster. He needs the space but a big cage would be too big to carry so I opted for one which gave him two levels. It's not perfect for a Syrian hamster. They really do need a Lot of space, but it's not bad. He is certainly happier. My only criticism would be the door. It's fab, cos its twice the size as usual giving you plenty of room to retrieve him from the cage. The trouble is, it opens upwards and because of the curvature of the top of the cage, can fall shut again VERY easily! This could trap your hand or even worse fall on the hamster as you remove him from th cage, so be warned.

Savic Habitat Starter Navy Blue Gerbil Cage 41 X 23 X 46,5 Cm

Does the job
I bought this for my daughters two new gerbils, and wondered if it would be too small, but its fine at the moment providing they dont grow too big! They seem to love burrowing under the sawdust and making tunnels and its nice to be able to see them through the Perspex. I would mention that the metal cage part can be a little tricky to fit onto the tank part securely so the clips hold it together properly. Also the plastic bowl got nibbled pretty quickly so has since been replaced with a metal one! But over all good value compared with others I have viewed
A great success!
My daughter's gerbils seem very happy in their home and have no problem climbing the ladder to the top level for their food, water and sand bath. There is ample room for the 2 of them including house and toys!
Didint like it
I didnt like this, I sent for 3 in all and every one the top slid down over the tank piece and I could see little rodent feet and noses being hurt. Not worth the money and I didnt buy.

Savic Bristol Impression Dino Hamster Cage

Amazing cage!
Wasn't sure about the sputnik in the cage, but we now use it for putting the hamsters food in, he loves it! Much more room and he loves climbing about it in it. Got this cage at a bargain at

Savic Mickey 2xl Navy Blue Mice And Dwarf Hamster Cage 80 X 50 X 38 Cm

Brilliant Cage, couple of faults.
This cage is very good, the bar spacing is great, and my robo's can't escape. There is a lot of space, unlike many cages around. I was keeping my female robo in a Savic Cambridge, but one of her 8 day old babies escaped, so I needed a new cage. I got this one, and it arrived in one day, it was meant to arrive before 1pm, but it got here at 6pm:-) Currently I have 5 female robo's living in there currently, mother and four daughters. Just waiting for them to find new homes.

Pro's: It's a huge cage, it comes with a half decent wheel, which you need to oil before you use, because it will squeak. There's lots of room too add toys. The dwarf hamsters can't escape. There is also a nice large food bowl.

Cons: There is the '2nd' floor. Made out of wire, which will hurt the hamsters feet. And the hamsters don't like it. The bottle leaked, all of the water came out on the first day. Mine don't really use the house which come with it. I just took of the extra floor and paid...
Brilliant cage (excpet for bar chewers...)
I love this cage! But our first hamster doesn't... or just loves the bars too much! I got this for Willow as an upgrade from the tiny cage she was given to us in, and for various reasons, it took a while to come, so she got into a habit of bar chewing, leading to her now being in a ZooZone2. So now we have a hamster we adopted from the pet shop in it.

The good points:

It's easy to clean.
The size is larger than the RSPCA minimal sizes for a hamster cage, and easily big enough for a Syrian hamster (they must be kept alone).
The bar spacing means that it's fine for smaller hamsters too, making it future proof - at this price, you don't want to be buying 1 cage for a Syrian then replacing it because 2 or 3 years later when your Syrian has passed on & you want a dwarf hamster.
It's attractive without being childish - it fit well in my sitting room and now fits well in my elder son's bedroom.
The big front door means that you can easily get your...
Excellent cage for mice, loads of space for them.
We got this cage for our daughter's three mice, and have been very pleased with it.
The cage comes with a good set of accessories, these include...
Tunnel, wheel, food bowl, water bottle, hammock, platform.

The cage itself seems pretty well made, and the top fits very securely to the bottom.
Taking it apart for cleaning is easy, and all parts easy to clean and maintain.

The mice really love the hammock and often use this as their house, and the tunnel is another favourite for them.

Whilst the cage is quite large it gives the mice lots of room to move and play meaning they have a much more enjoyable environment.
Overall if you are looking for a mice cage and have the space I would recommend this cage.
(look around though as it can found cheaper.)

Savic Suite Royale Navy Blue Small Animal Cage 95 x 63 x 159 cm

Love at first sight
I thought i owned the best cage i could, right up until i first saw a picture of this. It was everything a rat cage should be, beautiful, sturdy, all metal and easy access. I had to own it, but held back as i wasn't sure the price tag was justifiable when i had a perfectly good cage as it was. In the end my birthday came and i got a wonderful surprise, and roughly 2 years ago i finally got the cage of my dreams.

Since then it has lived up to my imaginings, it is a really sounds well made cage. Assembling it is probably a 2 man job, though i have heard of people managing it on there own. It's actually not bad to put togehter, i found the instructions nice and easy to follow and it went up in about an hour (with some faffing as i got excited). At this point i discovered my number 1 top tip - do not assemble downstairs if you intend it to live upstairs... After splitting the cage in half again we got it upstairs and reassembled, then came top tip number 2 - assemble in...
Perfect cage.
I bought this cage for my four rats and it's perfect for them. Not great at writing reviews so I'll list...

positives:
- Really a very big cage. If you have adult rats or ferrets they NEED something this big. You could fit up to 5 or 6 adult rats in it or 2 or 3 ferrets.
- Very easy to clean. The trays just slide out and back in.
- Practical. The wheels make it easy to move and the shelf at the bottom is really useful for ratty things.
- Well designed to hang things off - the middle platform rests on top of bars.

Negatives:
- Takes a long time to put together. Took me and four other people about 3 hours.
- Ours came broken, one of the hinges on the door came completely snapped in half, so the door hangs off whenever it's opened. Of course we didn't realise this until we'd finished assembling it, and considering what a challenge that was, it didn't seem worth it to send it back.
- The trays are a little shallow if you're planning...
Fantastic cage!
I love this cage, it was pricey, but definately worth it.

My only slight dissapointment was that the images and reviews seem to suggest the kick panels are on the doors, meaning the plastic trays can slide out easily for cleaning (this would be brilliant and make cleaning so easy!) The cage I received is not like this, the kick panels are fixed to the cage and the doors are just mesh all the way down, this means if I was to remove the trays for cleaning I would need to manouvere them over this kick panel....So I just scoop out all the dirty litter with a dustpan and brush. That said, it's no more difficult than the old cage I had, I was just looking forward to easy cleaning!

My four boys really love this cage, they have so much space, and I wouldn't hesitate to add a couple more rats, there's definately room! I think this cage really lends itself to customisation, as it's so easy for hanging things on, and the full doors mean you can reach right into the...

Savic Park 6 Hexagonal Small Animal Play Pen

Guinea Pigs
I bought this play pen for my 2 guinea pigs. It is big enough for them to have a run around in to have a break from the cage. The bars are suitbale as my pigs are 3-4 months old and they cannot fit through. I use this inside the house in the winter months, but it did not come with a base so can get very messy on the carpet. I put towels down. It came with a net to fix onto the top for when they can go outside in the warmer months (however I have not used this yet so cannot comment on the quality of it). The one thing I would say lets this product down is that it doesnt fold up, I find that I have to take the pins out every time I want to put it away and then put them back in when I was to re-assemble it. Apart from that, it does the job it was made to do.
Great for my rabbits!
I bought this as a temporary solution for one of my rabbits who didn't have a run. Quick delivery and looks just as it does in the photo.

It's very easy to assemble although I used my own tarpaulin to cover the top rather then the mesh cover as any rabbit that can reach on his/her hind legs can chew through it. It can be assembled in a hexagon or square shape and you can use as many or as little of the panels as you wish.

I would advise this is only suitable for small breeds of rabbit and not big enough for giant breeds.
I like it
Arrived in double quick time, as using Amazon Prime... well packaged and on unwrapping it contained the seperate panels and pins. dead easy to assemble and you could obviously buy another set and make a bigger run... no escaping baby bunnies, water bottle fits on just fine. I'm very happy with every aspect of this purchase/

Savic 27 cm Large Orbital Wheel

Great wheel! Hamster love's doing the rain show!
So my hamster adores this wheel! I bought this after I realized that my hamster didn't use the old wheel, and the reason was because it was too small. But this one is fantastic! And she loves it! She gets so tired out from running on it for ages that she sometimes falls asleep on it also!

Now my hamster has this wheel, she has done back to doing what I call the ''rain show'' by this I mean she fills her pouches up with food, and runs on her wheel, then every so often she stops to empty a little bit out. And continuously runs on the wheel with the food running round the wheel. She continues to do this until her pouches are empty and then she runs as fast as she can letting all that food spin around with her.

I guess it makes her feel like she has won the lottery, accept with food surrounding her. She is a funny little hamster, bless her.
Savic 18cm medium orbital wheel
Wheel is a good size and quieter than many. However I have only rated it with 2 stars because it is an absolute nightmare to clean because of the half-closed design. This design may indeed be safer for the animal but is very impractical for cleaning as you cannot fit your hand through the gaps and have to take the whole thing apart to clean it properly (which is no easy task!)
Brilliant wheel, best one yet esp for Syrian
I was worried this wheel wouldn't be big enough for our large Syrian make hamster. But it's just perfect . Many wheels have been through this house, rotastak, roly and a wire one but this one is by far the best. It fits over the top of our barred iMac fantasy cage really well and is silent enough to be kept in the kids room overnight even after a month or so of daily use. Would highly recommend to large and small hamsters.

Fit for purpose, but incredibly expensive as you are only getting the stand for the price, not the cage as well.

Savic Nero 3 De Luxe Cage

Better for Guinea Pigs
I have had this cage for my two guinea pigs for a couple of years now and they are happy with it. The water bottle does leak and so I have replaced that but other than that the cage is perfect for them. I do believe it would be too small for most rabbits though.
Nero 3
Tis cage isn't suitable for rabbits, there is no where near enough room for them.
However though it is a very good cage for guineapigs. I keep 2 guineapigs in there but I wouldn't keep anymore in there. Overall it is a good cage but not suitible for rabbits, it could also be used for more exotic speicies such as pygmy hedgehogs.
guinea pig cage review
This is a great cage for guinea pigs - we have two and they feel very comfortable. Not too small, not too large. They climb onto the feeding platform very easily (and jumb back as well!), seem to like it, the cage is solid, nice and not too heavy. The only thing is that the water bottle could hold better. Otherwise a very good product.
